Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Perform regular preventive maintenance on sewing machines to ensure smooth operation.
∎ Clean, oil, and replace worn parts as part of routine servicing.
∎ Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues with sewing machines.
∎ Repair or replace defective components such as belts, needles, motors, or timing mechanisms.
∎ Set up new machines and ensure they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
∎ Install attachments or special parts as needed for specific stitching functions.
∎ Adjust thread tension, stitch length, and feed mechanisms for specific sewing requirements.
∎ Align components for precision stitching.
∎ Maintain service logs and repair records.
∎ Report major malfunctions or suggest upgrades to supervisors or management.
∎ Ensure all work is done in accordance with safety standards.
∎ Train operators on basic machine care and safe use.
∎ Keep track of tools, spare parts, and supplies.
∎ Request or reorder parts as needed to avoid downtime.
∎ Provide on-the-spot support for machine operators.
∎ Assist in testing machines after repair or modification
