Job Responsibilities:
∎ Act as the main technical adviser or coach on a construction site for contractors, the project team, engineers, craftsmen, and operatives with tasks you assign to them.
∎ Set out, level and survey the site
∎ Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
∎ Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications. Oversee the selection, requisition and quality of materials
∎ Make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended projects.
∎ Manage, monitor, and interpret the contract and design documents.
∎ Liaise with any consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
∎ Liaise with the competent authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with the construction documentation required as per regulations and laws.
∎ Communicate with Management/ Senior Officials of the company, including attending regular meetings to report progress on the work. Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site's work as per the implementation plan.
∎ Day-to-day supervision of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of the contractors
∎ Plan the work and efficiently organize the site facilities in order to meet the agreed deadlines.
∎ Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
∎ Prepare reports as required
∎ Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and do such other works as may be assigned from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years

∎ Communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. Construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, and other engineers
∎ Organization skills and a methodical approach to work

∎ Strong teamwork skills
∎ Good IT skills include AutoCAD, Excel, Microsoft Project, and internet communications
