Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Engineering/Project Management Engineering/Bachelor’s degree in a field related to construction.
∎ A degree or certification in occupational health safety is also required
∎ Licensing and accreditation with respect to the construction industry are a must-have
Job Context:

∎ Should have very good communication and presentation skills.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Developing health and safety plan for the workforce at workplace/project site.
∎ Formulating and enforcing safety guidelines and programs
∎ Monitoring and effectively implementing the environmental health and safety (EHS) plan at the site by following Bangladeshi EHS statutory requirements.
∎ Must be familiar with OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 standards.
∎ Establishing and maintaining health and safety communication structures
∎ Continuous inspection of project sites, to ensure a hazard-free environment
∎ Developing and organizing EHS training programs (specially through on the job training)
∎ Promoting safe practices on site
∎ Carrying out drills and exercises on managing emergency situations
∎ Conducting investigations on accidents
∎ Responsible to submit safety reports to the related stakeholders (government institutions. Company and other agencies).
∎ Responding to workers’ safety concerns by preventing unsafe act and unsafe conditions.
∎ Manages all communications with government departments in regards of safety
∎ Arranges OSHA-mandated evaluations of the site
∎ Coordinates all issues regarding hazardous materials or waste
∎ Continuous monitoring of all safety related documents, reports and issues to keep them updated.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ 4-10 years work experience as a safety officer / manager in a similar working environment.
∎ At least 4 years of experience for Degree holder and 8 years for Diploma holder in safety management in construction of cross country pipeline (Hydrocarbon pipeline), Tank project, plant project including station piping for the same
∎ Must have excellent communication skills on all fronts.
∎ Must have good organizational abilities.
∎ Must be able and willing to coordinate the activities of other workers in safety-related matters.
∎ Must have good interpersonal skills.
∎ Must be proactive and diligent in carrying out duties.
∎ Must never delay in acting towards any hazardous situation.
∎ Possession of excellent leadership skills is a must
Salary: Negotiable
