We are K&A Logistics Ltd., a joint venture of Karnaphuli Group and Advantis, delivering integrated logistics and warehousing solutions.
We are currently looking for an Safety,Health and Environment Officer for our warehouse located in Ulukhola, Gazipur.
1.Process Management:
Ensure, through advisory support and practical guidance, that Exel Bangladesh and its contractors are effectively identifying and assessing risks related to occupational health & safety and environmental impact from operations.
Ensure the implementation of preventive and control measures to minimize identified risks, in line with local regulatory compliance (such as DoE, Fire Service, and Labor Law) and organizational policies.
2. Customer / Supplier Focus:
Provide support and guidance on QMS-related matters to ensure internal business processes comply with client expectations while aligning with regulatory standards in Bangladesh.
Interact with relevant client representatives (local and regional) to understand and align with their requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to help them meet the QMS and safety standards of the organization.
Implement and monitor adherence to client brand compliance and service-level expectations relevant to the local market.
3.Measurement, Analysis & Knowledge Management:
Conduct internal audits of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
Present OE (Operational Excellence) audit results at site or regional reviews to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead or support incident/accident investigations, including site evidence collection, root cause analysis, and documentation in line with Bangladesh-specific statutory obligations (e.g., DIFE reporting).
Key Indicators: Safety Audit Scores & Improvement Actions.
OE Audit Compliance Reports
4. Leadership:
Develop and manage a QMS roadmap aligned with the organization’s quality objectives and customer requirements without compromising corporate QMS standards.
Identify and resolve non-conformities proactively.
5.Process Management:
Plan and implement workplace safety and Lean-based initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and employee wellbeing.
Lead sustainability efforts, including waste reduction and carbon footprint estimation, aligned with local environmental norms (DoE) and global reporting standards.

6. Workforce Focus:
Organize internal training programs on QMS, ISO 9001/14001/45001, compliance, Lean, and 5S practices in collaboration with the HR department.
Ensure ongoing awareness and competence building for all levels of employees.
Key Indicators:
Completion Rate of Planned Trainings· Feedback and Audit of Training Effectiveness
7.Process Management (Documentation & Risk Control):
Maintain ISO documentation, including updates to Quality Manual, and manage version control of obsolete and active documents.
Maintain a Corrective Action Register to track follow-ups from incidents, audits, and inspections, ensuring timely closure.
Facilitate Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), qualitative risk assessments, and recommend control measures for specific tasks.
Plan and monitor emergency drills across sites in line with Fire Safety Act and local risk profiles.

8.Process Improvement & Compliance:
Review and update housekeeping and 5S standards to drive continuous improvement.
Track changes in international and local certification bodies’ QMS/OHS standards and ensure all department heads align processes accordingly.
