Job Responsibilities:
∎ The initial assessment of all patients admitted under the care of Orthopedics Department as per hospital
∎ policy and ordering of investigation and treatment as per instruction from the consultants
∎ Reassessments are conducted daily for the patients and to see the referral patients and brief the registrar and consultants.
∎ All the assessments and reassessment are conducted daily and recorded in the Patients Medical records in the appropriate sections
∎ The Resident will also do on call duties as per the department Rota and will look after the patients admitted in the Department
∎ The resident will complete the in-patients rounds everyday before consultant rounds and fill the case sheets and progress notes
∎ To be responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised by the registrar under the guidance of consultant.
∎ To check the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications considering all precautions and review and refresh the drug orders as required by the Hospital policy.
∎ He / She should be part of the quality improvement of JCI documentation process of the hospital.
∎ To do the initial assessment patients in emergencies and OPD and request for appropriate investigations like MRI etc
∎ To participate in Code Yellow as team member.
∎ To assist in the OT sessions of the consultants for whom they are posted
∎ To provides adequate immobilization of the fractures and reassure the patient.
∎ To Plan and coordinate specialized patient care after the orthopedic surgery
∎ To ensure that the patient receives effective advice and help when the patient comes for a follow-up post surgery.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 30 years
∎ 1-2 years Experience in relevant field.
