Job Context:

∎

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Will assess surgical patients preoperatively (PAC) including counseling, taking consent for anaesthesia (Including high-risk consent) etc. If felt necessary will inform Surgery Consultant/ Anaesthesia Consultant.
∎ Anesthetize the patient in OT and maintenance of anaesthesia and intra-operative monitoring
∎ Will provide monitoring/sedation for simple surgical procedures done under local anaesthesia by the surgeons.
∎ After surgery/procedure will accompany the patient out of the OT to recovery ward or ICU.
∎ Advice for fluid, analgesics and oxygenation in the postoperative period.
∎ Will assess surgical patients in the recovery ward for their discharge to the ward or day-care.
∎ Additional Job Responsibilities :
∎ Primarily the Registrars, Senior Registrars and the Specialists of Anaesthesia will carry out duties with importance and responsibility.
∎ In addition Neuro group will also work in Neuro ICU.
∎ Will work in two shifts, like, office time which extends from 9 am to 5 pm and night duty from 5 pm to 9 am next day.
∎ On Fridays and other holidays the shift will extend from 9 am to 9 am next day, unless stated otherwise.
∎ During such period (night hours or on holidays) may need to anaesthetize emergency patients
∎ He/She should be part of the quality improvement of JCI documentation process of the hospital

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Primarily the Registrars, Senior Registrars and the Specialists of Anaesthesia will carry out duties with importance and responsibility.
∎ In addition Neuro group will also work in Neuro ICU.
