Job Context:
∎ The purpose of the position is to implement Project activities effectively and efficiently at the community-level to achieve child well-being. of a 60 months for Right 2 Grow (R2G) project. The R2G consortium articulates the multiple, inter-connected, pathways through which the programme will support stakeholders to address the factors that contribute to under nutrition of children. The overall programme goal is: all children under 5 are well nourished. To reach the goal, the project will be implemented at Debhata Upazila under Satkhira District. The PO is also responsible for mobilizing communities and key local partners around child well-being to ensure each target community has a unique development plan. Each PO is responsible for World Vision`s activities in a defined Primary Focus Area with identified target communities.
∎ This position serves as the primary link between World Vision (including technical specialists) and communities and local partners. The PO will mobilize community engagement, identify local partners, assess and build their capacity, and empower them to work together to plan and implement shared project activities to improve the well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable. This position is responsible for local level advocacy through coordination with key stakeholders.
∎ The PO will work with the Project Team to established appropriate networking and advocacy for effective collaborative efforts for program sustainability while ensuring community participation.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate community led development process with relevant stakeholders, including the use of participatory facilitation techniques, such as PRA, PLA and rights-based approaches
∎ Build relationships with individuals, social groups, institutions, and organizations.
∎ Organize community to be united, develop, monitor and implement Community Development Plans and shared projects
∎ Encourage, affirm, and strengthen those individuals and groups who are working for and with the most vulnerable children
∎ Encourage an understanding of and sensitivity to child development and child vulnerability factors among community members and partners
∎ Build the capacity of community partners and facilitators to facilitate and manage development plans, with a focus on child well-being
∎ Facilitate relationship building and strengthen relationships and partnerships between existing groups in the community
∎ Coordinate with Zonal Level technical specialists and other sector staffs for effective program integration and quality implementation
∎ Select, train, support and monitor community facilitators/ groups in implementing Project planned activities
∎ Identify and monitor local partners that support or implement the project activities
∎ Establish community led child monitoring and other sector based community led monitoring
∎ Engage at individual and household level to facilitate the development process of Most Vulnerable
∎ Activate community-based safe-guarding mechanisms and local level advocacy processes
∎ Ensure monitoring and evaluation of activities as per M&E systems, tools and guidelines

Additional Requirements:
∎ Background (academic or experience) in HNW
∎ Knowledge on current development and humanitarian issues
∎ Knowledge and skill in engaging community and partners
∎ Good conceptual and practical skill to write project concept paper and design documents of the project.
∎ Experience in Baseline survey, Evaluation and Monitoring process and tools.
∎ Good facilitation skill of Training, Seminar and Advocacy programs.
∎ Strong Knowledge on social dimension, Legal structure of the local government, power dynamics and government relations
∎ Good communication, networking and facilitation skills
∎ Good proficiency in Bengali, both written and verbal
∎ Good time management skills
∎ Decision making, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Good report writing and documentation ability
∎ Minimum of 3 years working experiences working in development at the community level, especially in working with local community members and partners

∎ Knowledge and experience on Citizens voice and Action (CVA), rights-based approaches and understanding of social accountability
∎ Experience working with CSOs, INGOs / NGOs to implement community development projects
∎ 75% of time spent at the community-level is expected
∎ Good working relationship with partners, colleagues and stakeholders is expected
∎ Child and mother friendly environment exits in the project work places.

Salary: Tk. 50000 - 60000 (Monthly)
