∎ Muslim Hands International, Bangladesh is registered with the Bureau of NGO Affairs working in different sectors i.e. education, WASH, health, livelihood, child protection, poverty alleviation and disaster relief program since 1995. Our donor Muslim Hands UK is an international relief and development NGO, established in 1993 working both directly and with partners in over forty countries, carrying out short and long-term projects in emergency relief, educational and vocational training, orphan sponsorship, medical care and safe water.
∎ I. Summary of Position: Procurement officer responsible for managing purchase and procurement process. In this position, she/he will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for Muslim Hands International.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ II. Essential job duties
∎ Source and procure goods, supplies, and services necessary for project implementation.
∎ Ensure compliance with procurement policies and guidelines.
∎ Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
∎ Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
∎ Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of project materials.
∎ Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures.
∎ Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods to project sites.
∎ Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
∎ Prepare regular procurement and logistics reports for project management.
∎ Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate budget tracking.
∎ Work closely with Team Leader and other team members to understand procurement needs.
∎ Collaborate with local authorities and agencies to facilitate project operations.
∎ Engage with community leaders and beneficiaries to build trust and cooperation.
∎ Identify potential risks and challenges in procurement and logistics operations.
∎ Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
∎ Knowledge of procurement regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
∎ Strong negotiation and communication skills.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural setting.
Salary:
∎ Salary Range: 50,000 BDT -55,000 BDT
