Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Responsibilities & Context: Application is invited for the position of Lecturer (Nursing) on prevailing terms and conditions of ANNC.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide overall leadership for the college: as per the vision, mission, goals, and strategic plan of the institution.
- To oversee development, implementation and periodic review of the academic curriculum, syllabi in alignment with the standards of the Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC) and the affiliated university
- To monitor teaching & learning activities: ensure faculties are delivering according to lesson-plans, coordinate theory and clinical practical components of nursing education.
- To supervise examinations, internal assessments, maintain student academic records, attendance, and progress monitoring.
- To promote and nurture faculty development: organize workshops, seminars, encourage research, in-service training etc.
- To ensure the college meets the regulatory requirements of the BNMC and other relevant authorities.
- To maintain quality standards in both theoretical education and clinical practice components of the nursing education.
- To prepare and submit required documentation, reports, inspection responses, audits, etc.
- Lead faculty recruitment, performance evaluation, promotions, professional development.
- To supervise non-teaching administrative staff and ensure smooth support services (library, labs, hostels, student welfare etc).
- To oversee student affairs: discipline, welfare, counseling, student activities, clinical placements/internships.
- To ensure adequate resources: teaching aids, library, lab/clinical equipment, hostels, classrooms, etc.
- To liaise with hospitals and other health care institutions for clinical placements, internship programs for nursing students.
- To represent the institution in meetings, committees, conferences, build networks for collaboration.
- To lead initiatives for institutional growth, innovation in education methods, improvement of standards, research culture.
- To oversee strategic planning for future development, etc.
- To handle correspondence, official notifications, maintain institutional records.
- To develop and enforce policies (student conduct, ethics, anti-ragging, documentation).
- To execute any other tasks assigned by the authority.
