Job Context:
∎ Sample collection & preparing specimens for analysis and performs various screening tests.
∎ The incumbent will be responsible to the manager, Laboratory for obtaining & preparing specimens for analysis and performs various screening tests. He/She reports to the medical technologist on shift & maintains a cooperative working relationship with patients, patient`s families, medical staff, and interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Obtains blood specimens and collects non blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing.
∎ Performs screening tests and reports results.
∎ Accessions and processes specimens to prepare them for laboratory testing.
∎ Prepare specimens for reference; laboratory dispatch and testing.
∎ Contributes to the general laboratory functions and instructional needs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 1 year experience is must from reputed Diagnostic Laboratory/ Hospital/ Clinic in relevant field.
∎ Phlebotomy certificate may be given preference.
∎ Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
