• Certification or training as an OT Assistant from a recognized institution.

• Prior experience as an OT Assistant is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Familiarity with instruments and specialized equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.        
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle potentially stressful situations with composure.        
• Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in the operating room environment.        
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.        
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

BRB Hospitals Limited is currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled OT Assistant to join our Operation Theatre Department. We are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services and specialized care to our patients. 

Job Responsibilities:        

• Assist in the preparation of the operating room for procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and in proper working order.        
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, following established protocols and infection control guidelines.        
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing support in positioning the patient, handling instruments, and passing supplies as required.        
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery, adhering to strict aseptic techniques.        
• Prepare and help to assist to administer medications under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.        
• Assist in the transportation of patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort.        
• Clean and maintain operating room equipment and supplies, following established procedures.        
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.        
• Provide support in post-operative care, including wound dressing, monitoring vital signs, and transferring patients to the recovery area.        
• Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, patient information, and other relevant data.
