Job Context:
∎ The Nurse is responsible to ensure that every beneficiary receives an adequate medical examination, the required routine and prescribed medication and referral for additional treatment, as appropriate and according to the protocols and to assist the Clinics Supervisors in supporting MoH staff to care for patients
∎ Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is an international non-profit voluntary organization working in Bangladesh since 1974. Its delegation office is located in Dhaka. The Nurse is to be based in Ukhiya (Borma Para) where Tdh planning to engage to help the displaced people came from Myanmar. The Nurse provides supports to direct supervisors.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To strictly follow TDH programme protocols
∎ To ensure each beneficiary is triaged upon arrival
∎ To ensure that each beneficiary receives immediate medical examination
∎ To ensure that each beneficiary receives the routine medication and supplementary medication as required
∎ To ensure that each beneficiary receives diagnostic tests as required
∎ To ensure each beneficiary is measured daily by the measurers
∎ To record all symptoms of beneficiaries, medication given and tests and results
∎ To keep an up to date record of all medication used and be responsible for stock management and reporting (distribution monitoring, use of non-expired drugs, stock ordering etc.)
∎ To ensure that each mother receives a breastfeeding assessment
∎ To ensure that local customs relating to privacy are adhered
∎ To handle the beneficiaries in a sensitive and reassuring manner
∎ To ensure that the inpatient unit is cleaned daily
∎ To ensure that all equipment is in good working order and clean
∎ To report any shortages or broken equipment to the SC Supervisor immediately
∎ To prepare any necessary reports as requested by the SC Supervisor
∎ To attend training as requested
∎ To attend team meetings on a regular basis
∎ To ensure that mothers respect basic hygiene principles
∎ To ensure that waste (medical and non-medical) is appropriately segregated and disposed of
∎ To be responsible for ensuring water availability for hands / body and clothes washing
∎ To respect secure storage for medication and food and proper record keeping
∎ To ensure caretakers receive basic health education in feeding, hygiene and health and infant and young feeding practices
∎ To be able to undertake duties of the nutrition workers as required
∎ To undertake other tasks as requested by the OTP Supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Prior Work Experience: Two year experience in similar or related positions
∎ Skills and Abilities: Organized, discreet, and people oriented. Possess strong communication skills (both oral and written)
∎ Language Proficiency: Chittagonian language skills are preferable. English language proficiency is advantageous
∎ Accepts new responsibilities as and when those are assigned by the line supervisor

∎ Agree to comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and promote Child Safeguarding policy, Policy on the Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and the Policy on (Sexual) Harassment and Abuse of Authority.
∎ Report serious cases of abuse on children that she/he would be aware of in Tdh's intervention locations. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
∎ Adhere to and enforce current administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.
∎ Tdh intervenes without any affiliation for politics, religion or financial profit. He/she will direct his or her activities and engagements without preoccupation of political, racial or religious affiliation.

Salary: Tk. 43941 (Monthly)
