Job Context:
∎ Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization working in many countries worldwide. MSF has been working in Bangladesh since 1992. MSF was awarded the prestigious `Nobel Peace Prize` in 1999 for its pioneering humanitarian activities since 1971 in several continents.
∎ MSF has an immediate opening for Nurse Supervisor based in Cox`s Bazaar.
∎ Nurse Supervisor will support Infection Prevention Control Nurse in training staff and monitoring implementation of infection prevention measures in the health structure.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Carry out the functions and tasks associated to his/her speciality, i.e. perform as a nurse, midwife, labtech and anesthetist, whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience.
∎ • Monthly rostering
∎ • Ensure the biomedical equipment are in working condition at all times, informing the Nurse Supervisor / Nurse Activity manager of any breakdown and due maintenance.
∎ • Conduct regular rounds in PHC departments for monitoring and following the practices of infection control with staff. Ensure the availability of supplies and needed for isolation.
∎ • Ensure the proper preparation and monitoring of cold chain.
∎ • Ensure safety and hygienic working conditions for the staff (know procedures in the case of accidental blood exposure)
∎ • Instruct professional and paraprofessional nursing staff about policies and procedures.
∎ • Plan department workflow and determines priorities
∎ • Instruct preparation and maintenance of patients' clinical records.
∎ • Maintain confidentiality of all patient-related information
∎ • Participate and supervise the regular maintenance and deep cleaning, inventory and ensure the infrastructure is maintained
∎ • Recruitment technical referent for the selection of new nurses and assist in the evaluation and professional development of nursing personnel
∎ • Investigate and resolves complaints, or refers unusual problems to his/her direct supervisor.
∎ • Assist in the evaluation and professional development of the staff super-vised
∎ • Attendance on MSF meeting
∎ • Be open for any assigned task upon request of the supervisor
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 3 years experience as a Nurse;
∎ Good knowledge of English language and fluency in local language.
∎ Experience with staff management: leadership, coaching and development;
∎ Experience and skilled in IPC;
∎ Good organizational skills;
∎ Good communication skills.
Salary: Tk. 83580 (Monthly)
