Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer (NOC) to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring network devices, resolving connectivity issues, managing network incidents, and providing technical support to maintain uninterrupted network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure, servers, routers, switches, and network links from the NOC.

• Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and service availability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.

• Work with MikroTik, Cisco, Huawei, and other networking devices.

• Monitor and maintain ISP, fiber-optic, LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity.

• Identify and escalate network outages and critical incidents to the appropriate teams.

• Perform first-level troubleshooting and coordinate with field engineers and upstream providers.

• Maintain network documentation, incident logs, and daily operational reports.

• Ensure network uptime, service quality, and compliance with operational procedures.

• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams when required.

• Work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays, if necessary.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Relevant technical certifications such as MTCNA, CCNA, or equivalent will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLAN, routing, switching, NAT, DHCP, and DNS.

• Practical knowledge of MikroTik RouterOS and Winbox.

• Understanding of OSPF, BGP, static routing, and firewall configuration.

• Knowledge of fiber-optic networks, GPON, OLT, and ONU is an advantage.

• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, The Dude, PRTG, or LibreNMS.

• Ability to troubleshoot network outages, packet loss, high latency, and bandwidth issues.

• Good analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to network incidents.

Experience Requirements

• Freshers with relevant networking knowledge may apply.

• Previous experience in a NOC, ISP, telecommunications, or network operations environment will be preferred.
