Education:

• Diploma in Midwifery

• Diploma or certificate in Midwifery from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maternal health service delivery, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Duty Days: 6 Days per week
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in challenging field conditions.
• Experience working with Rohingya or displaced populations is an asset.

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in Bangla and English
• Knowledge of dialect of chittagong will be preferred.

Job Summary

Muslim Hands International is seeking a qualified and compassionate Midwife to join our health team in Nayapara, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The selected candidate will provide primary healthcare services to the Rohingya refugee population, ensuring quality care delivery in alignment with humanitarian health standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct antenatal (ANC) and postnatal (PNC) check-ups for pregnant women.
• Identify and manage pregnancy-related complications and refer as necessary.
• Provide counseling on family planning, breastfeeding, hygiene, and newborn care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maternal and newborn services.
• Support health education sessions in the community on maternal and reproductive health.
• Collaborate with medical officers, nurses, and community health workers to ensure quality care.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and respectful maternity care.
