Responsibilities & Context
Responsible for:
Dispense Medicines according to prescription.
Organize and manage the medicine store, including the date of expiry of medicine.
Communicate with the Pharmacist and Medical Officer.
Ensure Patients' Safety.
Ensure patients’ understanding of medical prescriptions.
Stock Management.
Maintain diligently all records, including Stock Register & Challans.
Activities:
Ensure quality of medicines provided to patients.
Ensuring that the provider of medicines is within the law.
Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.
Advising patients about medicines, including how to take them, what reactions may occur and answering patients' questions.
Ensure stock management and proper record keeping.
Ensure medicine shelf life.
Skills and Competencies:
Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Pharmacy from Govt. approved institution.
Should have a license from the Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as a medicine dispenser, preferably in an emergency response project/programme.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to understand prescriptions.
Strong numerical skills.
Attention to detail.
Problem-solving competencies.
Good communication and social skills.
