Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) in Public Health

Experience Requirements:
∎ 4 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevention. Carry out outpatient consultations, prescribing the necessary treatment respecting national and international protocols.
∎ Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate and comprehensive explanations about the treatment to follow, checking they have understood.
∎ Follow up the evolution of the refered patients, in collaboration with other health partners and doctors- and informing their family about the patient's evolution. Continue follow-up after discharge of patient.
∎ Check and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment under his/her responsibility-
∎ Take care of the quality, disinfection and sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards.
∎ Comply with international IPC guidelines, e.g. hand hygiene, to minimze the spread of disease.
∎ Participate in the collection and analysis of epidemiological data, checking its validity and informing the line manager or project coordinator about any problem or complication of the patients illness, medical error and monitors the proper functioning of the department, equipment or material.
∎ Knows and ensures all medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control.
∎ Ensures professional confidentiality is respected.
∎ Refers patients to other health sector partners and/or inter-sectoral partners according to the needs of the patient
∎ Maintain awareness of advances in medicine, guidelines and recommendations for identification, diagnostics, management and prevention of diseases.
∎ Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, medical assistant, and other personnel.
∎ Conduct on-the-job trainings during times of low patient attendance.
∎ Conduct weekly seminars / workshops / trainings on identification, diagnosing, managing and preventing diseases based on up-to-date national and international guidelines and recommendations. Put a strong focus on IMCI and maternal and newborn care. Include skill training on history taking, physical examination and excluding differntial diagnosis.
∎ Define and report the needs in small maintenance, materials, medication and tool health post need (patient slip, patient referral card, vaccination card, ANC card, tally sheets, consumption sheets etc) to the HP supervisor
∎ Define the needs in materials and tools required to conduct trainings
∎ Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability.
∎ Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the facility or medical unit.
∎ Ensure coordination and continuity of medical activities through verbal and written reports to the PHC supervisor and coordination with the other health staff
∎ Participate actively in meetings and trainings when required.
∎ Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patients.
∎ Know Tdh procedures
∎ Give an input on any other issue i.e security that can affect the health activities to his/her line manager immediately
∎ Report to his/her line manager periodically regarding context changes that affect the modality of intervention

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Language skills:
∎ Good working knowledge of English and Bengali
∎ Any other local language, including Rohingya is an asset
