∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
∎ MBBS graduates with internship completed in BMDC certified hospitals and additional work experience in any other hospitals.

∎ Experience: Candidates with additional work experience in hospital with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system will get preference.
∎ Typing Speed: Typing speed 40+ words per minutes.
∎ Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
∎ Skills: Proficiency in computer skills related to coding operations, understanding and able to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, etc.
∎ Experience: Candidates with additional work experience in hospital with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system will get preference.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assign and Sequence Codes: Accurately assign and sequence diagnosis (ICD-10) and procedure (CPT) codes following coding conventions and government/insurance regulations.
∎ Chart Review: Thoroughly review patient charts for accuracy and completeness.
∎ Documentation Analysis: Analyze medical records to identify documentation deficiencies and inconsistencies.
∎ Additional Coding: Assess chart documentation to determine if additional codes can be assigned.
∎ Provider Interaction: Follow up with healthcare providers regarding pending queries and documentation requirements.
∎ Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the coding team to ensure timely billing and resolution of coding issues.
∎ Education and Communication: Educate and communicate with providers regarding best coding and documentation practices.
∎ Billing Advice: Provide guidance to the billing department on correct coding practices.
∎ Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest coding rules, conventions, and industry changes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical chart notes, ensuring compliance with established coding conventions, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize documentation practices.
