Responsibilities & Context:
JOB PURPOSE
Install repair and fabricate:
• Carry out ship paneling, flooring, ceiling, repairing of cupboards and doors.
• Bonded, Hinged and Fixed windows, Non-WT Doors.
• Installation of Insulation pins, insulation
• Installation of deck underlays and PVC / Carpet flooring.
• Assisting the Foreman for berth preparation of ship in dock and on dry berth area and floating docks.
• Operating of machines in connection with carpentry work.
• Requisition for materials for repairs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Day-to-Day Operations
• Ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the divisions Quality Assurance procedures and Quality Manuals.
• Housekeeping & Safety – Ensure the workplace and worksite are kept clean and tidy, during and after completion of work. Customer premises/facilities are always to be treated with respect and kept clean
• Ensure all operations/work are carried out in a safe manner; ensure workers wear the correct PPE
Reporting
Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements or reports to meet section or department’s requirements, policies and quality standards.
Health & Safety
• Maintain an awareness of all health and safety rules applying to the assigned tasks and tools to ensure that safe working practices are observed.
Use of Tools & Equipment
• Maintain competence in the use of all tools or equipment required for the assigned works.
JOB CONTEXT
• Adequate knowledge on this job is critical to ensure safety and proper execution of works.

• Take directive from Carpentry Foreman / Supervisor

• Work under the supervision of Carpentry Foreman / Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
• Vocational / Technical School in Carpentry
Minimum Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience as Carpenter.

• Working hands on knowledge and carpentry skills.
