Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc or higher education in Automobile Engineering is a MUST
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure 24/7 Transport services towards 100% Export/Import related Off-dock operations of the Company.
∎ Fully Responsible for Inventory Management: Fuel, Parts etc.
∎ Fully Responsible for hiring and firing subordinates such as supervisor, cleaner, mechanics.
∎ Fully responsible for workshop supervision.
∎ Fully responsible for vehicle condition update: workshop, terminal, or in-transit vehicle.
∎ Fully responsible for dealing Vendors: Tyre, Lubricants, parts etc.
∎ Manage Maintenance, Oiling, Installations and Servicing of all Vehicles & Equipment such as:
∎ Prime Mover/Trailer, Heavy duty Crane, Container Handler, Forklift, Passenger Vehicle etc.
∎ Plan regular scheduled workdays for preventive maintenance tasks.
∎ Follow and perform the petrol/diesel/lubricant filling mechanism approved by the Management.
∎ Coordinate with foreman, machinist, mechanic, fitter, and cleaner for smooth maintenance.
∎ Maintain repairing, servicing, fuel consumption, and spare parts records.
∎ Ensure the scheduled checks on vehicle and spare parts.
∎ Monitor daily, weekly and monthly stocks of spare parts, fuel, oil, lubricants; ensure timely\ requisition at the Head Office.
∎ Ensuring payment of all Maintenance & Repair related bills with due verification.
∎ Train employees and Drivers to meet operations requirement as well as technological advancement.
∎ Testing vehicles both before and after repair.
∎ Manage Work Schedule/Duty Chart/Log book for all Drivers/Operators/Assistants/Cleaners.
∎ Implementing Transport policy approved by the Management.
∎ Keep records/history of Drivers and Accidents.
∎ Keep update on the vehicle documents (tax token, fitness, insurance etc) and make necessary arrangement of new vehicle registration.
∎ Maintain liaison and coordination with BRTA, Local Police, Industrial Police, Government Agencies and other parties in relation to smooth operations of Transport departments.
∎ Keep all existing license/Certificates up to date and also obtain new icense as and when required.
∎ Ensure proper inventory of all components of vehicles are maintained and checked frequently. Propose improvements in the existing transport system.Submit regular and comprehensive monthly report in relation with transport maintenance, fuel consumption, inclusion of any new vehicle, license/Certificates registration, safety & security of the plant etc.
∎ Monitor and Manage Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS) and Inventory Management Systems.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 45 to 55 years
∎ A professional with more than 10 years of relevant experience.
∎ Applicant MUST have in-depth knowledge and experience in Hydraulic transmission/drive system, Container handlers, heavy vehicle: engine and parts.
∎ The job involves hands-on supervision in workshops and terminals.
∎ Applicant MUST have proven track records of managing medium/large teams.
∎ Applicant MUST have experience in managing Transport/Logistic Maintenance Department in any prominent Local or Multinational Company.
∎ Sound knowledge of Computer operation is a MUST.
