Job Context:
∎ Galfra Habib Limited has been operating under BJMC for last 50 Years. It has been a Mechanical setup of BJMC with full-fledged industrial parts manufacturing facility that comes with Mechanical Workshop, Heat-Treatment Plant, and Foundry Shop.
∎ Shafi Motors Limited (SML) is operating the facility (Galfra Habib Limited) since October 2023. SML is one of the largest road transport companies in Bangladesh with fully equipped Inland Container Depot (ICD) and Container Freight Station (CFS). Currently serving as one of the largest 3PL service providers in Bangladesh with history of contract manufacturing.
∎ Under the new management, the facility is expected to manufacture parts and machineries for Jute, Textile, Marine, Agriculture, and other Industries. SML is looking for an expert Lead Engineer, with vast technical experience, who can take the lead to Test and Commissioning (T&C) that to be followed by Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and Prepare T&C plan and Perform testing and commissioning of the existing facility followed by O&M of the Foundry shop, Machine Shop, and Heat Treatment Plant
∎ To perform and execute the test and commissioning tasks according to the test plan and test procedures.
∎ Troubleshooting, fault finding, recording and reporting of mechanical equipment faults, error, malfunctions, defects or deviations from the specification, servicing/replacing old or faulty equipment/parts.
∎ Create equipment tracking log for pre-functional testing, functional testing, static testing, warranties, load capacity, O&M's, etc.
∎ Generate pre-functional and functional checklists for equipment based off approved submittals and drawings/specifications.
∎ Prepares field observation reports with issue log for contractors to take corrective action on equipment in the field by keeping records of faults and repairs.
∎ Lead testing and commissioning deliverables in accordance with T&C proposal/plan and budget within schedule.
∎ Run testing and commissioning meetings and provide meeting minutes to the management.
∎ Facilitate the testing, commissioning and O&M processes with contractors, equipment vendors, and different stakeholder.
∎ Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues related to machine Programs, product setup, machine operation and product quality.
∎ Proving technical support and training to the supervisors, machinists, and operators with various skill levels.
∎ Adhering to all safety and performance regulations.
∎ Responsible to team setup and hiring.
∎ Coordinate with the team to perform T&C and O&M.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ MUST have 7 to 10 years of experience
∎ MUST have experience in related field with experience in ERP systems
∎ MUST have Experience in Textile/Jute/Marine/Automobile/Agriculture Industry
∎ MUST have experience as a team leader with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Hand-on experience on Mechanical Tools
