Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise and maintain accurate inventory records.
∎ Implement inventory control measures to reduce stock discrepancies, wastage, and obsolescence.
∎ Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to reconcile inventory and identify discrepancies.
∎ Manage the layout, organization, and security of storage facilities for optimal space and accessibility.
∎ Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols for storing goods, equipment, and hazardous materials.
∎ Maintain and clean storage areas to uphold hygiene standards and prevent damage to inventory.
∎ Work with logistics providers and transportation companies to negotiate rates and ensure timely deliveries.
∎ Track goods movement, update stakeholders, and resolve any issues or delays in transit.
∎ Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast demand, plan procurement schedules, and optimize inventory levels.
∎ Identify ways to streamline supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Train and supervise storekeepers, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators, promoting accountability, teamwork, and improvement.
∎ Set performance targets and KPIs, providing feedback and support to ensure high productivity and quality standards.
∎ Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and logistics performance, with insights and recommendations for improvement.
∎ Analyze inventory discrepancies and logistics issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
∎ Perform other tasks assigned by management.
