Job Context:
∎ Job Overview:
∎ Shams Group of Companies, one of the leading Shipping and Logistics business Group, is currently looking for a well experienced individual for the position of Manager - Heavy Lift and Project Logistics, for its road based logistics wing, MKK LOGISTICS, to be based at the Head Office in Dhaka.
∎ The Project Logistics Manager will manage and coordinate all aspects of logistics requirements for Out of Gauge/Project Cargo/Heavy Lift Cargo movements via multi modal transportations.
∎ This is top level managerial position that requires making real-time decisions which will impact the cost and service and will support various stakeholders` efforts to continuously improve transport and logistics operations of the company.
∎ The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding and a working experience & knowledge of detailed specifics of multi modal transportation of heavy lift and odd-sized project cargo movement.
∎ The ideal candidate must also have a working experience and knowledge of international Shipping, Freight Forwarding and Logistics norms and practices.
∎ Although this vacancy is for Manager post, higher position/designation may be considered if the candidate demonstrates appropriate experience and knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This ideal candidate should be able to communicate, receive, negotiate and process all business queries related to project logistics to develop business opportunities with both new and old clientele.
∎ The ideal candidate should be well experienced in preparation of quotations and RFQs, to negotiate and to finalize business contracts with clients.
∎ This individual will be responsible to supervise, manage and orchestrate every aspect of multi modal logistics movement, ensure all third parties are coordinated with no gaps, find synergies between various moves, act as the central point of contact/communication between all parties involved and to keep client fully informed of status.
∎ This individual will be responsible for oversight of the flow of the information through the system within internal and external customers and must have the ability and knowledge to prioritize and organize multiple tasks needed to complete work.
∎ Manage and supervise the operation of equipment fleet.
∎ Working knowledge of international freight forwarding and Customs Clearing documentation process is highly desirable.
∎ Maintain acceptable personal and work area standards for safety, appearance, and equipment condition.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years' first-hand knowledge and working experience of logistics and transportation industry including Barge, Trailer, Truck, Rail, Crane and all other services related to heavy haul and heavy lift operations.
∎ Must be excellent fluency in written and verbal communication skill, in both Bangla and English.
∎ Must be able to use MS office, PowerPoint, Excel and other Office applications.
∎ Demonstrate proven leadership skill, be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
∎ Good negotiation skills and analytical ability.
∎ Excellent presentation, listening and consulting skills.
∎ Friendly, customer oriented & team player.
∎ Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Able to travel both domestic and abroad, if necessary.
∎ Proactive approach to solving problems
