Job Context:
∎ The Communications Manager role aimed at supporting to World Vision’s programmes in Bangladesh through the management of communications and public engagement programed that effectively ensure that quality and timely internal and external facing communications materials are produced for internal audiences, media organisations, donors, government stakeholders and other partners and to ensure visibility of WV`s brand in Bangladesh. This position is required to improve the delivery of the communication functions in all of our programmes in Bangladesh, as well as to better position World Vision`s brand and acceptance in-country and towards key stakeholders.
∎ In addition to strengthened collection, processing, interpretation and dissemination of media and communications materials at the strategic and operational level, this post-holder will also support the function of risk mitigation, in co-operation with Director-Communications and senior management colleagues.
∎ The post holder will also be expected to build up the country`s brand in-country, namely through national and regional media, and support programmes to carry out work on communications with beneficiaries and local stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communications and media opportunities are identified and responded to in order to ensure that World Vision is a credible source for the partners, donors, governments, communities, children and World Vision staff.
∎ Measure are in place to produce accurate, high quality, user-friendly, child-centered communications and media work.
∎ Communications and media work are built into annual planning including proposal development and incorporate ways to allocate resources and build capacity (case studies, leaflets, fact sheets, promotion materials, press releases, media packs, social media, videos, photos, reports, summary reports, news).
∎ Position a WV brand and uphold it to a high level of quality
∎ Deliver a staff engagement communications plan to ensure staff across WV (National Office) and the partnership at large are informed and engaged with the organisation’s work, and are an engaged pro-Communications staff.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Proven management ability
∎ Effective negotiation skills
∎ Effective Conceptual skills & design skills
∎ Strong organizational skills
∎ Proven experience as a team player
∎ Demonstrated collaboration & team building skills
∎ Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ At least 3 years experience communications or media position or similar responsibilities
∎ At least 3 years experience in management position
∎ 30 – 40% travel is expected

Salary:
∎ Salary is fixed as per organizational structure and policy.
