Job Context:
∎ The Manager, Business Development will focus on seeking new business opportunities for sustainable profitable growth for the organization. S/he will be responsible for tender documentation & submission, cost estimation, identify suitable clients in appropriate sectors, maintain liaisons with relevant government and private clientele and secure business/contracts for the group. The incumbent will report to the CEO of New Business Unit of the organization.
∎ Employment Status: Permanent

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Tender Documentation & Cost Estimation:
∎ Coordinate & maintain tender enlistment for Govt. and Non-Govt. sales and follow up as well as making business proposals along with Technical and Financial offers.
∎ Provide support to management during the pre-tender process starting from evaluating, assessing tenders, assessing risk factors to arrive at bid decisions, and estimating all the required materials, and equipment needs to be able to arrive at reliable cost estimates for bidding projects.
∎ Responsible to select Tender from National e-GP Portal, PGCB, BPDB, EGCB, APSCL, BREB, NWPGCL, WZPDCL, RPGCL, DPDC, DESCO, NESCO and other websites.
∎ Maintain liaison with Govt. Department for tender negotiation, vendor registration, approvals and renewal.
∎ Visit clients for clarifications/information related to Bids/Tenders/EOI.
∎ Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
∎ Prepare, negotiate and analyze costs for tenders.
∎ 2. Project Acquisition:
∎ Look for profitable new business/project opportunities with appropriate clients.
∎ Maintain liaisons with relevant Govt. officials, clients and build strong working relationships.
∎ Acquire information to make strategic decisions regarding securing new business.
∎ Lead activities to implement project acquisition related decisions.
∎ Meet with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress.
∎ Assess the profitability by preparing effective budget of proposed business/contracts and adopt risk mitigation measures.
∎ Devise cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.
∎ 3. Project Coordination and Completion:
∎ Organize and coordinate projects in order to meet commitment in terms of target/deadline, cost and standard conformity.
∎ Periodically and on special occasions, review projects with the execution team and revise profitability forecast and schedule.
∎ Makes presentations to investors, business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project.
∎ Contact with outside agencies for support on an as-needed basis.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-5 years' experience in related function in a reputed organization with a total experience base of 6-8 years.
∎ Excellent knowledge in Tender preparation, procedures of bidding and submission of Tenders.
∎ Need to have in depth knowledge about project management (acquisition to execution), financial planning & feasibility skills.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Ability to work collaboratively and independently across the Ministries of Bangladesh Govt.
∎ High degree of business acumen and strong focus on results.
∎ Budget-management skills and proficiency.
