Job Context:
∎ Job Summary: Supervise the overall functions of the Biomedical Department. Ensure adequate level of technical support to the departments, timely calibration and maintenance of the Biomedical equipment. Oversee the budgetary requirement in terms of Biomedical equipment and advise the management accordingly. Act as a Biomedical Engineer to apply knowledge of engineering, biology, and biomechanical principles to the design, development, and evaluation of biological health systems and products, such as instrumentation, equipment, medical information systems, and health management and care delivery systems.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Effectively co-ordinate the designing, functional installation, maintenance and calibration of biomedical Equipment as per required quality standards and norms.
∎ Prepare equipment budget for a financial year for budgetary management annual service contract management and data processing systems for managing the medical equipment.
∎ Effectively coordinate service agreements, in-house operations and installation and commissioning of biomedical equipment along with project team.
∎ Provide effective guidelines to Engineers & Technicians and supervise their works regularly.
∎ Perform a variety of routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, documentations, site layout and purchase of various biomedical equipment.
∎ Ensure that all incoming biomedical equipment are inspected as per biomedical departmental policy.
∎ Interface with project teams for installation and commissioning activities at various locations, organizing inspections to ensure the operational effectiveness of equipment.
∎ Advise adequate manpower to the Dept.
∎ Identify the training needs of the staff within the biomedical department.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 12 years in which at least 5 years in a senior managerial role
