Job Responsibilities:
∎ Search standard reference materials, including on-line sources and the Internet, in order to answer reference questions.
∎ Analyze requests to determine needed information, and assist in furnishing or locating that information.
∎ Develop an e-library for students and faculties; maintain accounts in international research websites or resources.
∎ Liaising with departmental academic staff, external organizations and suppliers
∎ Ensuring that library services meet the needs of particular groups of users (eg staff, postgraduate students, disabled students)
∎ Supervise budgeting, planning, and personnel activities.
∎ Teach readers to use computer equipment, conduct literature searches etc
∎ Organize collections of books, publications, documents, audiovisual aids, and other reference materials for convenient access.
∎ Develop library policies and procedures.
∎ Develop information access aids such as indexes and annotated bibliographies, web pages, electronic pathfinders, and on-line tutorials.
∎ Compile lists of books, periodicals, articles, and audiovisual materials on particular subjects.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proficiency in English.
∎ Hands-on computer literacy.
