Job Context:

The Senior Lecturer & Medical Officer is responsible for the Implementation of the College programs as directed by the AYAT College of Nursing & Health Sciences.

Line of Authority: She/he is directly responsible to the principal/Vice principal in the accomplishment of her daily activities.

Administrative: HR/ Fin. & Acc./COO/CEO

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivering lectures, preparing lesson plans, and conducting practical demonstrations on specialized subjects in the classroom.
• Conducting practical demonstrations on comprehensive nursing care at the bedside of patients & implementation of syllabus & curriculum.
• Preparing the program for field teaching and clinical experience of the students to be approved by the principal/Vice principal.
• Supervising the student's clinical/field practice in the Hospital/Community in coordination with other faculty and Hospital authorities.
• Accompanying and guiding the students in their academic and recreational field activities, attending lectures delivered by guest lecturers & other specialists, and holding tutorial classes.
• Attending and participating in professional and community activities to interpret the place of the nursing community.
• Assisting and maintaining discipline in the college and creating a conducive learning environment to ensure quality education in the college.
• Assists Principal in planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of the educational & prepares academic calendar, class routine & daily routine work.
• Participates in the conduct of continuing education & programs for students and maintains discipline.
• Assists the Principal/Vice in identifying needs for professional development of faculty & facilitates staff development program.
• Ascertains, selects & organizes facilities, lab equipment, and materials necessary for learning and appropriate record keeping.
• Guide the students in conducting seminars, discussions & presentations, etc.
• Coordinates with the external Lecturer.
• Assist in initiating & participating in research studies for the improvement of educational programs.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the higher authority.
