Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
∎ Foreign masters degree will preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Teaching, Learning, and Support:
∎ Undertake undergraduate teaching courses and supervision as appropriate.
∎ Design and deliver modules in Electrical & Electronic Engineering subjects (Theory & Practical), including preparing assessments and examinations, online teaching materials, tutorial support and associated administration.
∎ Teach, examine, and train students in undergraduate sessions, practical's, and workshops taking place in EEE Laboratories & Tech-Hubs.
∎ To be Module Convener for some of the modules, Advisor for some of the batches, and to maintain and develop both the quality and appropriateness of the course materials and the curriculum.
∎ Continuously evaluate teaching content, delivery methods, and assessment methods and make improvements.
∎ Providing intellectual and pastoral support to students
∎ Take part in and contribute to staff development activities consistent with continuous professional development.
∎ Research:
∎ Plan, develop, and conduct individual and/or collaborative research objectives, projects, and proposals either as an individual or as part of the program.
∎ Contribute fully to the school's research activities.
∎ To establish, develop, and sustain an international reputation as a researcher through original, high-quality work.
∎ Publish research findings in leading peer-reviewed international journals, and present or exhibit at national or international conferences, as well as other similar events, in internationally recognized outputs.
∎ Actively seek funding from public and private sources to support a research program with short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals.
∎ Supervise students as they complete their Final Year Project (FYP)/Thesis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Administration:
∎ To support and adhere to the university's and department's quality assurance standards and procedures for teaching.
∎ Work closely with the Department Head to obtain regulatory body accreditation.
∎ Take a role in the admission of students to undergraduate degrees. They respond to queries from staff and students (including applicants), providing information and advice and assisting with admissions.
∎ Prepare student handouts and handbooks.
∎ § Maintain and develop on-line teaching resources (e.g., Moodle) for modules within the subject area.
∎ Attend committees, teaching groups, and relevant school meetings to ensure teaching and programming are coordinated.
∎ To ensure compliance with ethics and health and safety requirements in all aspects of work.
