Job Responsibilities:
∎ Teach intermediate and advanced levels of English (including English for Academic Purposes and English for Specific Purposes) and provide supplemental instruction for credit-bearing courses to students.
∎ Develop a coherent academic support curriculum for all credit-bearing courses.
∎ Set challenging teaching and learning objectives that are relevant to all students in their classes, and use these teaching and learning objectives to plan lessons, and sequences of lessons, showing how they will assess students' learning.
∎ Monitor attendance and student behavior, and evaluate student performance. Provide students with periodic progress reports each semester.
∎ Complete course syllabus according to the nursing curriculum.
∎ Liaise with the university's faculty delivering credit-bearing courses to ensure that students are supported in the critical reading, writing and academic skills to achieve their potential.
∎ Provide professional development training sessions as needed to the university faculty.
∎ Participate in new student orientation, and other relevant college events.
∎ Maintain office hours per week for student consultations throughout academic semesters.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Working knowledge of current philosophy and teaching practices in TESOL.
∎ Demonstrated ability to use a variety of active and student-centered teaching methods.
∎ Candidates with IELTS, experience in teaching & Publication will get preference.
