1. Teaching

   * Teach seven (7) laboratory courses during the academic year.

   * If the program requires additional courses, the Lab Instructor has to teach those with appropriate compensation.

   * Attend lectures from time to time as preparation for assisting students as a Teaching Assistant.

2. Student Support

   * Maintain six to seven (6–7) office hours per week for student consultation.

   * Submit a worksheet with weekly activities to the Program Director at the end of each month.

   * Assist in and co-supervise five to eight (5–8) senior thesis students.

3. Research Contribution

   * Collaborate with faculty members on research projects.

   * Share authorship in publications resulting from collaborative research.

4. Laboratory Development

   * Revise and update laboratory manuals for assigned courses.

   * Train laboratory officers in the use and maintenance of instrumentation.

   * Advise laboratory officers on the timely ordering of appropriate reagents.

5. Workshops and Training

   * Conduct one (1) workshop per semester on laboratory report writing and presentation skills.

   * Participate in faculty development workshops, seminars, or conferences organized by the program or AUW.

6. Administrative Duties

   * Attend all meetings organized by the respective program.

Other Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Bio Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biological Science or related field, Masters degree will be preferred from a recognized university.

· At least 3.4 CGPA in BSC and MSC

· Demonstration of effective teaching in Lab or related courses.

· Excellent written and communication skills in English is mandatory.

· Ability or willingness to teach students whose native language is not English.

· Experience or interest in working at women’s colleges.

· Strong understanding of inclusive and diversity in the classroom and beyond.
