Educational Requirements:
∎ B.S. (Honours) in Science / related subjects from a recognized university with CGPA 3 and above.

Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a young enthusiastic Lab Assistant for two labs (Physics and Bio/Chem) who will be working under the Science Department and assist in laboratory and regular classroom work. In addition, the Secondary School Lab Assistant, under the direction and support of the teacher, will provide high quality, relevant and on-site development assistance to students. This includes being a co-advisor and substituting classes as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Knowledge of current lab safety regulations
∎ Prior experience in working as lab assistant preferred.
∎ Ability to manage science labs and relevant chemicals and equipment.
∎ Preparation of laboratory practicals, including set-up and breakdown as per teacher's instructions, testing such labs and equipment beforehand so as to ensure a successful learning experience.
∎ Maintenance, cleaning and storage of equipment.
∎ Keep inventory of all equipment.
∎ Safe storage and removal of harmful chemicals and equipment.
∎ Ensure adequate supply of equipment and materials is always available.
∎ Keep track of materials borrowed by teachers and students.
∎ Assisting the teacher in supervision of laboratory practicals when needed
∎ Genuine desire to work with students - exhibit patience and empathy when dealing with students.
∎ Ability to address and treat students with respect and dignity.
∎ Willingness to learn and grow under instruction of teaching faculty and in a professional environment.
∎ Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
∎ Experience in working with children, preferably in school environment.
∎ Pro-actively participate in events (like Science Fair and Science Olympiad)
∎ Carry out other administrative responsibilities given by school authority.
∎ Support development of students in any way possible to enrich them for life.
∎ Maintain good professional relationship with colleagues, support staff and administrators.
∎ Be a part of the whole team, and add value to team CGS-D.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 55 years
∎ Computer literacy is a must
∎ Both males and females may apply
∎ Minimum 2 years teaching experience in reputed English medium schools.
∎ Good level of proficiency in English (both verbal & written) and Bangla is essential.
