Responsibilities & Context:
Main Job Responsibilities of a Kitchen Steward
🧽 Cleaning & Sanitation
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Clean kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and storage areas.
Dispose of garbage and food waste properly.
Ensure all cleaning is done according to hygiene standards.
🍽️ Dishwashing Operations
Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
Sort, stack, and store clean utensils and kitchenware.
Check equipment for cleanliness before use.
🏨 Kitchen Support
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic non-cooking tasks.
Transport food supplies, ingredients, and equipment within the kitchen.
Refill cleaning supplies and maintain stock of kitchen necessities.
📦 Storage & Organization
Arrange and organize kitchen equipment and utensils.
Keep storage rooms, refrigerators, and freezers clean and organized.
Follow proper food safety and storage procedures.
🦺 Health & Safety
Follow HACCP and food safety regulations.
Wear proper PPE (gloves, apron, safety shoes, etc.).
Report damaged equipment or safety hazards immediately.
Help maintain a safe and accident-free working environment.
