Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization providing humanitarian support to the Rohingya people at Bhasan Char. As part of its Health & Nutrition interventions in support with WFP & UNHCR, SARPV is going to implement "Integrated nutrition intervention for Rohingya refugees living in Bhasan Char" project from 1st September 2022.
∎ Competency: Device operating, internet browsing for the basic communication.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual, until 31st December 2022 (Renewable)
∎ Job Location: Bhasan Char, Noakhali
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Objective:
∎ This position is responsible for the Screening, identification, anthropometric measurements, enrolment, and registrations, follow up of targeted beneficiaries and ensure proper counselling.
∎ Key Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure clinical assessment for infant (under 6 months)-mother pair in facility:
∎ Check general danger sign for infant (under 6 months)
∎ Check general danger sign for lactating women (under 6 months)
∎ Refer to SC/health post if meet the criteria of pink color
∎ Breastfeeding Assessment:
∎ Observe breastfeeding practically
∎ Showing breastfeeding position and attachment
∎ Want to know about the frequency of breastfeeding
∎ Enrollment the beneficiary if meets the criteria.
∎ Anthropometric Assessment:
∎ Take MUAC, length, weight and calculate WFL for infant
∎ Take MUAC, height, weight and calculate BMI for mother/caregiver
∎ Enrollment of the beneficiary if meets the criteria.
∎ MHPSS services:
∎ Assessing maternal mental health
∎ Provide PFA (Psychological First Aid)
∎ Provide services according to categories
∎ Refer to MHPSS, if needed.
∎ Ensure adequate nutrition education and counselling sessions in the facility:
∎ Provide counselling (breastfeeding counseling, hygiene, care of infant and lactating women) to in care beneficiaries.
∎ Following AAA (Assess, Analyze, Act) steps.
∎ Encourage caregivers with good nutritional status, so that they would maintain the same care all the time.
∎ Hygiene maintenance
∎ Maintain hygiene and cleanliness inside the CMAMI corner.
∎ Hygiene materials are in place to be used where these are needed.
∎ Ensure smooth supply of cleaning materials to be used in maintaining center cleanliness.
∎ Provide hygiene related massages to beneficiaries.
∎ Reporting and recording:
∎ Submit daily, weekly and monthly report on CMAMI activities.
∎ Proper documentation and recording.
∎
∎ Abiding by organizational and donor policies and humanitarian principles
∎ The position is expected to uphold the values of SARPV
∎ She must learn about the donor policies and abide by it.
∎ Humanitarian Principles must be upheld in daily implementation.
∎ Implement all work-related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of the SARPV's staff and beneficiaries
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year's professional experience in CMAM preferred.
∎ Ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in remote island area and live in basic conditions.
∎ Good communication and presentation skills
∎ Language: Must be proficient in English and Bangla in both writing and speaking. Speaking in Chittagong language is preferable.
Salary: Negotiable

∎ Two days weekly holiday ( Friday & Saturday)
