Job Context:
∎ NO- Livelihood TP and Private Sector Engagement Coordinator will provide technical support to Livelihood Technical Programmes (UPG/BSL) across (WVB), especially in the area of Private Sector Engagement and Livelihood Advocacy in line with the FO/NO Strategy. S/he will directly support the technical programme (TP) portfolio related to LH, working directly with LH zonal and area programme staff and operations teams, managing the Private Sector Engagement & Livelihood Advocacy at national/SAP/GC level. S/he will support directly to Deputy Director-ITPD
∎ This position will also provide strategic technical support to LH in grant fund project/concepts development specially focusing on inclusive Livelihood approaches for and emergency situations. This position will maintain strong and regular external engagement with Livelihoods stakeholders, partner`s other relevant networks at national level.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical backstopping support in planning, executing private sector partnership initiatives, Livelihood advocacy, Gender & Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) inclusive market development approaches in Livelihood technical programs and grant projects
∎ Develop grant proposals/concepts focused on Value Chain/market development approaches, Livelihood advocacy, Gender & Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA)
∎ Assist Deputy Director-ITPD in detail planning, sequencing, and regular quality monitoring of new Core model; Building Secure Livelihoods (BSL) implementation
∎ Undertakes evidence-based research/assessment/studies to foster further grant writing, Livelihood advocacy & private sector engagement/piloting (Technology/Youth inclusion) initiatives at the national level.
∎ Provide capacity-building support to APC level staffs, Livelihood facilitators/volunteers/ community promoters, and key programme/project partners on Private Sector Engagement, Livelihood advocacy, Value Chain/market development approaches.
∎ Monitors and ensures the quality of the technical program at APC/AP level by frequent field visits and conduct quality assessments of activities for program improvement. Share field monitoring report with Deputy Director-ITDP (livelihoods) and Director-Field Operations
∎ Coordinates and provides quality support to the Deputy Managers/ Technical Specialists/Livelihood Facilitators/ Volunteers etc.
∎ Build national level private/public sector partnership with relevant stakeholders for fostering influence to support community for increasing Livelihood Technical Program impact
Additional Requirements:
∎ Solid knowledge and understanding of Private Sector Engagement and Economic Development Essential
∎ Proven experience on Value Chain approach and Livelihood Advocacy initiatives Essential
∎ Strong professional and practical skill to develop concept note and project proposals Essential
∎ Extremely strong networking, communication and facilitation skills specially on gender, children and poverty issues Essential
∎ Proven skills on exploration and incorporation of Gender-inclusive economic development adoption Essential
∎ Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for partnering and external engagement Essential
∎ Commitment to work for child well-being and a good understanding of Child protection and participation Desirable
∎ Good understanding on natural resources and disaster management Desirable
∎ Good understanding on financial, savings, disability and gender inclusion Essential
∎ Good knowledge on livelihood advocacy Desirable
∎ At least 8 years of work experience at the national level on Food Security, Livelihood Advocacy, Private Sector Engagement, Resilience and Livelihoods Essential
∎ Proven experience in backstopping, facilitating, and contributing to national level Livelihood Program events Essential
∎ Proven experience as a team player Desirable
∎ Work environment 30% field-based and 70% office based
Salary:
∎ Salary is fixed as per organizational structure and policy.
