Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with raw material suppliers, ensuring cost-effective and quality procurement.
∎ Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and service levels.
∎ Monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
∎ Coordinate with production teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials. Implement efficient inventory management strategies to prevent overstocking or shortages.
∎ Utilize demand forecasting tools to align production with market needs.
∎ Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure smooth delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
∎ Optimize logistics processes to reduce lead times and costs.
∎ Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and customs requirements.
∎ Lead and mentor the supply chain team to enhance performance and productivity.
∎ Work closely with other departments like production, sales, and finance to align supply chain goals with business strategy.
∎ Drive a culture of innovation and efficiency within the supply chain team.
∎ Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
∎ Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and corporate policies.
∎ Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
