Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of MEP designers, engineers, and drafters, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing technical guidance.
∎ Design Strategy: Develop and implement overall MEP design strategies for projects, considering sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost optimization.
∎ Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project design.
∎ Technical Expertise: Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
∎ Client Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and present design solutions effectively.
∎ Budgeting and Scheduling: Establish and manage project budgets and timelines for the MEP design phase.
∎ Quality Control: Conduct regular design reviews to identify and address potential issues, ensuring quality standards are met.
∎ Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to address design concerns and resolve conflicts.
∎ Innovation and Sustainability: Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate sustainable design practices into MEP systems.
