Job Context:
∎ Reporting to the MD, the Head of Finance is responsible for all finance- legal and IT related disciplines. S/he is responsible for Leading, developing, planning, driving and executing of Finance, legal and IT related strategies/budgets and for all finance related plans within Bangladesh and in relevant future export markets. S/he is expected to be an active and strong team player and to come with strategic, positive and insightful contributions to help form the overall strategy for the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advice and support the MD regarding the business, including profitability in pro-duction and distribution, and be a strong, reliable competence
∎ Undertake special assignments related to business opportunities and new pro-jects including feasibility studies and financing options etc.
∎ Lead, support and train/develop the Finance/IT team
∎ Organize the Finance department in a way that support the strategies, the business and the responsibilities in close coordination with MD and stake-holders in the Board of Directors
∎ Ensure effective internal processes and high quality in closing of accounts, compliance with local regulations and group accounting principles and liaise with local authorities, auditors and tax agents
∎ Prepare the annual budget, monthly reporting, forecasts and cash flow projections to management and JV stake holders in line with internal and JV owner’s timelines.
∎ Continuously assure effective internal processes and high accounting accuracy
∎ Assure monthly assessment & reconciliation of all accounts and high quality in closing of accounts
∎ Ensure correct handling of VAT, tax and duties etc.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting, forecasts and cast-flow analysis
∎ Prepare local annual report and tax return in cooperation with auditor
∎ Prepare analytical review of monthly accounts vs. prior year, budget and identify forecast changes
∎ Develop and implement ERP system
