Job Context:
∎ This position shall be based in Surma Plant, Chhatak, Sunamganj and will report to Head of Industrial Operations & Plant Manager Surma.
∎ The job is open for both Bangladeshi and expatriates.
∎ The incumbent will be responsible to manage the project of required deliverables on time, manage project risks including the development contingency plans. S/he will also be responsible to adopt and apply appropriate technical and quality strategy, identifying and obtaining support and advice required for management. In this capacity, the incumbent will conduct the project evaluation review (CAPEX). For the effective mobility, this role shall be entitled for full time company vehicle.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall study of the project within the Country including Quarry.
∎ Effectively manage all CAPEX, improvement projects, cement dispatch and clinker debottlenecking projects, up gradation and additional 3 Million ton limestone dispatch from quarry.
∎ Manage all the projects at Quarry, specially power grid improvement and MMD crusher improvement project
∎ Project study on AF facilities, coal mill installation, raw material handling, clay project, packing plant dust reduce project etc.
∎ Study of limestone and clay storage, limestone reclaiming process to reduce quality variation
∎ Lead Various Project as assigned by Head of Industrial Operations
∎ As Part of the management team, promote Health & safety in the plant as well in the department.
∎ Provide short term, medium & long term analysis of the prospects and prepare the basics for necessary investments for plant performance.
∎ Lead the Project and provide direction and ensure overall functioning of the Department.
∎ Facilitate the definition of the project scope, goals and deliverables and define the project tasks and resource requirements.
∎ Manage the project budget and project resource allocation.
∎ Process of planning and exercising conscious control of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
∎ Track the project deliverables using appropriate tools as well as Provide direction and support to the project team
∎ Maintain the quality of the project by ensuring each and every thing which affect the project directly or in directly.
∎ Coordination on CAPEX assistance in Country and enhance the service.
∎ Regularly monitor the quality of the project as per defined and set standards, ensure and monitor operations, proactive audit of various performance reports, provide timely feedback to the concerned department/unit on quality.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 20 years of relevant experience in multinational or equivalent.
∎ Minimum 15 years of work experience in construction/project management in comparable heavy industry, preferably in cement industry.
∎ Qualification in project management or equivalent.
∎ Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
∎ Direct work experience in project management capacity
∎ Proven experience in people management
∎ Proven experience in strategic planning
∎ Proven experience in risk management
∎ Proven experience in change management
∎ Proficient in computer software ( 3D AutoCAD, MS Project)
