Job Responsibilities:
∎ Warehouse set up for FMCG products which are perishable in nature, design warehouse layout, order fulfillment process flow, evaluate 3rd party logistics service provider on the basis of warehouse space finalization, CAPEX deployment, manpower & OPEX costs and arriving at cost of warehouse operations on per SKU as well as per sq. ft. basis.
∎ Improvement Supply Chain process for FMCG with regards to stacking norms for heavy & bulky SKUs, palletization norms, Binning methods to be followed for perishable items, co-mingling of date lot items pertaining to various inventory groups, improvements in manual order pick, order processing & final connectivity to last-mile vehicles for delivery through manual segregation & routing.
∎ Proven-expertise in migrating from manual order processing to WMS-based order processing and phase-wise deployment of WMS across all processing & delivery hubs without a single day of order pile-up or processing lag owing to the migration process.
∎ Bring improvement in various metrics of FMCG heavy bulky order fulfillment viz O2D, O2P, P2S, S2L, L2D. Suggest ways and means to improve Fill Rate efficiency in FMCG products, reduction of Vendor Lead Time (VLT), Improve upon weekly sales forecast efficiency vis a vis actual number of orders receive and compare that to actual fill rate received from the vendor. Comparing the fill rate % to final order fulfillment & final deliveries to customers the balance accounted for as RTO, reasons for which will be Deep Dived for RTO control.
∎ Undertake Cost Reduction of SCM by downsizing headcounts at the warehouse, bring about greater efficiency in order processing per table, remove repetitive activities & also bring about a holistic change in last-mile deliveries by bringing forth Driver Based Delivery Mechanism whereby one driver with one vehicle will deliver heavy bulky orders to at least 30 delivery points in a 12-hour workday covering a daily vehicle run of 100 kms and effecting 90% plus deliveries and ending with RTO handover and reconciliation of COD collected at the branch within 24 hours of making the deliveries.
∎ Facilitate vendor payments by reconciliation of PQV (Product Quantity Variance) arising from MFI and ISS returns.
∎ Conduct detailed market study to analyze the latest market trends and tracking competitor's activities; conceptualizing marketing tools as a part of brand building & market development effort.
