Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate a system with Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) central fire department to ensure fire safety for workplace areas and ensure all fire safety equipment in an establishment is in good shape always.
∎ Establish and manage a system to inspect and check the fire equipment such as smoke detectors, fire hydrants, fire doors, firefighting apparatus, etc. as well as regularly.
∎ Coordinate a system with central fire department to conduct regular fire drills and emergency evacuation drills to aware employees of any emergency incident.
∎ Identify probable fire hazard areas and make recommendations to take preventive measures on an urgent basis.
∎ Maintain liaison with fire service authority and prepare all safety standards, policy, reports, and documentation regarding fire safety issues including fire evacuation for all employees.
∎ Establish a system to train up all workers/staff/employees on fire safety, protection, fighting and First Aid on demonstration basis to make the mission successful.
∎ Coordinate and ensure the “Fire Safety Plan” meets local codes and IFC recommended NFPA codes along with the implementations of the codes at site.
∎ Review the Life and Fire Safety (L&FS) Master Plan for the project and work closely with the L&FS consultant to ensure that construction and maintenance of these systems have been carried out in accordance with the accepted design.
∎ Support the overall HSE&S functions and site team to fulfill IFC requirements.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Fire Safety Manager course (6 months duration) completed from Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defense (BFSCD)
∎ Diploma or certifications in Occupational Health & Safety from reputed local or international institutions (e.g. NEBOSH / IOSH / NVQ)
