Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Based in Ukhiya Team Office under CARE Cox`s Bazar Field Office
∎ Contract Duration: The duration of the proposed contract is up to October 31, 2019 with possibility of extension.
∎ Reporting to: Site Engineer.
∎ Working Conditions: Based at Ukhiya Team Office with frequent field visits.District with regular (up to 30-40%) visit to project sites including the ones in Cox`s Bazar Sadar and Ramu.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years of experience in the relevant field with a sound organization.
∎ Experience working with NGOs in similar jobs.
∎ Fluency in Chittagonian and Bangla language
∎ Experience in Participatory Learning Action and Community Led Participatory Development approaches.
∎ Experience in management of small scale infrastructural schemes and environmental activities.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Good computer skills on Microsoft Office application and typing skill in Bangla software
∎ Commitment to and understanding of CARE core values and principles.
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
∎ Willingness to live and work in difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel and stay in the field.
∎ Constructive and pro-active communication with a wide variety of actors and stakeholders.
∎ Ensure and Promote GEDI and be GEDI sensitive, creating an enabling environment where diversity can flourish and all staff and stakeholders experience inclusion and appreciation.
