Educational Requirements:
∎ M.Sc./B.Sc. in Engineering or Environmental Science from a reputed university. But candidates from other discipline with relevant experience in any manufacturing plant may also apply.

Job Context:
∎ Being a leading and diversified local conglomerate among the pharmaceuticals, The ACME Laboratories Ltd. is going to strengthen its existing health and safety practices furthermore. Now we are looking for a young and energetic incumbent having a strong foundation on all aspects of health, safety and environment of the composite manufacturing plant.
∎ Job Location: Dhamrai Plant, Dhamrai, Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify all health hazards, carry out related risk assessment in respect of fire or electrical threats and take necessary preventative & control measures in order to minimize accidents or incidents to zero level.
∎ Carry out and follow-up Occupational Safety and Health Activities (OSHA) in the workplace to safeguard the employees, company premises and properties.
∎ Develop, formulate and implement safety policies, SOPs and conduct maintenance/monitoring of the same to reduce accidental incidents and prevent losses due to a decline in productivity.
∎ Inspect interior and exterior premises and ensure the availability of appropriate PPE for handling of machineries and equipment in more safe and secured manner.
∎ Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas and minimize or eliminate hazards from processes to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
∎ Formulate, prepare and maintain internal fire-fighting team, arrange necessary training for these fire fighters with a view to face any natural or man-made fire accidents/emergencies.
∎ Find and propose required changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 1-3 years of working experience in health and safety at manufacturing plant will be desired.
∎ Candidates having substantial certification and know-how on ISO 9001 QMS/ISO 14001 EMS/ ISO 45001 OHSAS will be given preference.
∎ The incumbent should be self-driven to work under pressure, result oriented with 'can do' attitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
∎ The incumbent should be well conversant on written and verbal communication both in English and Bangla.
∎ Sound knowledge in computer especially in MS office package is a must.
∎ Age limit is within 30 (thirty) years. But it may be relaxed for highly qualified candidates.
