Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist department in developing and implementing purchasing strategies and policies.
∎ Forecast purchase needs.
∎ Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
∎ Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
∎ Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments at factory and corporate office.
∎ Expected to co-ordinate with suppliers as well as with internal departments for timely delivery of materials.
∎ Liaising with supplier for shipment schedule.
∎ Benchmarking exercise to evaluate industry trend and new supplier selection.
∎ Build and develop relationships with key suppliers.
∎ Arrange air and sea freight and liaise with forwarders on services and costs
∎ Collect MRN (Material Received Note) from store.
∎ Avoid overstocking at store.
∎ Evaluate supplier performance and create alternative pool.
∎ Ensure effective operation with shipping line/freight forwarder, clearing and Forwarding agent (C&F), follow-up customs operation, and deliver of goods from port to factory site.
∎ Assist superior to produce reports and statistics on spending and saving.
∎ Assist in the operations of purchasing department.
