Job Context:
∎ We are currently looking for an energetic professional, with experience in Field Operation and Maintenance activities in Telecom sector
∎ Location: Chittagong South (CTGS) - Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To perform regional operations regular activities and execute action plans in the field for smooth operation in the region & thereby, achieve company business objectives and target KPI(s).
∎ Perform BTS and Transmission fault handling (24x7) as per standard fault-handling procedure and vendor recommendations
∎ Provide support for Core, BSC and Transmission (MW/Fiber) network as per requirement, which includes capacity upgrade, traffic re-routing, hardware replacement, testing, on-site support etc.
∎ Roster duty and team mobilization, to ensure desired network availability
∎ Perform proper and cyclic PM (Preventive Maintenance) and fill-up checklist (active/passive)
∎ Snags (as identified in PM/site audit) clearance of Core, Radio, Transmission, and power systems) within agreed SLA
∎ Check, investigate and resolve all external alarms and service affecting alarms in the network
∎ Attend and resolve customer complaint (CRM) as per agreed SLA
∎ Execute network optimization related Work Order (WO) as per agreed SLA
∎ Handle network fault/quality Trouble-Tickets (TT) as per agreed SLA
∎ Execute all proactive/reactive actions as required, to keep network fluctuations at desired level
∎ Manage and follow-up power/cooling system/sub-con vendors and their activities including site access and key management, to ensure the deliverables
∎ Perform Acceptance Testing (PAT) for any new sites/links/equipment
∎ Collection of energy meter KWH data from site and all types of communications with REB/PDB offices, including monthly electricity bill-collection, challenging higher e-bills and maintain relationship
∎ Manage SPMS AMC/Non-AMC spare parts and tracking spare movement and reporting
∎ Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for network incidences/outages
∎ Report daily activities in Work Force Management (WFM) tool
∎ Produce relevant reports(periodic/ad-hoc)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3-4 years' work experience on Operation and Maintenance activities in Telecom sector or relevant field
∎ Notable work experience in field operation
∎ Hands-on experience on troubleshooting
∎ Hands-on experience on BTS, Node B, Fiber Optic, Microwave transmission
∎ In-depth knowledge of Telecom/Wireless Technology
∎ In-depth knowledge of BTS/Node B/Microwave transmission links maintenance and troubleshooting
∎ In depth knowledge of all passive equipment's (DG/PG/Solar/IVS/AC/AVR/UPS/Rectifier/Battery) HW/SW and their characteristics and recommended settings for the applicable work areas in core, radio, and transmission networks
∎ Good knowledge on the network topology for the applicable work areas
∎ Excellent understanding of installation of best practices
∎ Good knowledge of network implementation / integration processes
∎ Good knowledge of network operations and maintenance of routine activities
∎ Being mentally prepared to perform 24 x 7 roster duty
∎ Being prepared to be involved in network related emergency handling activities
∎ Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands
∎ Have a positive and open approach to problem solving and dealing with new proposals
∎ Ability to work with regional and cross-functional teams and stakeholders
∎ Ability to do multi-tasking, work under pressure and within limited timeframe
∎ Ability to work pro-actively and independently
∎ Ability to lead the vendors and subcontractors
∎ Have a cost-conscious mindset
∎ Proficient in computer skill, especially in MS Excel, and Word
