∎ 5+ years of experience in the design, development, or sales of electric vehicle powertrain systems, with a focus on forklift applications.
∎ Comprehensive understanding of forklift operations, including vehicle dynamics, hydraulic systems, and material handling requirements.
∎ Proficiency in electrical and mechanical system design, battery management systems, power electronics, and control systems.
∎ Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to lithium-ion battery safety and performance (e.g., UN38.3, UL1642, IEC 62133).
∎ Excellent problem-solving, project management, and customer-facing skills.· Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with customers.
∎ Experience in the sales and technical support of lithium-ion battery pack solutions or energy storage systems.
∎ Knowledge of fleet management, charging infrastructure, and energy optimization strategies for electric material handling equipment.
∎ Familiarity with forklift certification and homologation processes, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
∎ Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, finite element analysis (FEA), and battery simulation tools.
∎ Certifications in forklift operations, electrical safety, or project management would be an advantage.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct comprehensive assessments of our customers' existing diesel-powered forklift fleets, including evaluating the vehicle specifications, duty cycles, and operational requirements.
∎ Collaborate with the engineering team to design and configure lithium-ion battery pack solutions that seamlessly integrate with the forklift's existing electrical and mechanical systems.
∎ Develop custom battery management systems (BMS) to optimize the performance, safety, and longevity of the lithium-ion battery packs for forklift applications.
∎ Perform detailed technical and financial analyses to provide our customers with accurate cost estimates, energy savings projections, and return on investment calculations for the EV conversion projects.
∎ Prepare detailed proposals and technical documentation to showcase the features, benefits, and value proposition of our lithium-ion battery pack solutions for forklift electrification.
∎ Participate in customer demonstrations, pilot programs, and field trials to validate the performance and reliability of the converted EV forklift solutions.
∎ Provide technical support and training to the customer's maintenance and operations teams to ensure the successful deployment and long-term operation of the converted EV forklifts.
∎ Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in lithium-ion battery technologies, electric drivetrain systems, and forklift industry trends and regulations.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and project management, to ensure the seamless execution of EV forklift conversion projects.
