Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lesson planning: Create and implement lesson plans for students to learn subjects like science, reading, and math
∎ Classroom management: Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment
∎ Student assessment: Evaluate students' abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and monitor their progress
∎ Communication: Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress, and collaborate with other teachers and administrators
∎ Student support: Work with students individually to help them overcome learning challenges, and provide extra mentorship to those who need it
∎ Classroom rules: Develop and enforce classroom rules to teach children proper behavior
∎ Standardized testing: Prepare students for standardized tests required by the state
∎ Supervision: Supervise students outside of the classroom, such as during lunchtime or recess
∎ Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and parents to develop effective teaching strategies
