Job Context:

∎ The Driver will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Carpool Dispatcher in the ICRC`s Office in Cox`s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Drive in a safely manner, transport ICRC personnel and cargo according to Fleet and Logistics procedures, report any issues as per procedure.
∎ Ensure daily checks of mechanical conditions of vehicles (i.e: fuel level, tyre pressure, lights conditions, potential oil leakages, etc) before any trip.
∎ Participates in the loading/unloading of cargo and take responsibility of all the cargo transported by his vehicle until the hand over with the final beneficiary
∎ Informs the Car Dispatcher of all the technical problems and possible repairs in due time.
∎ Ensures that vehicles are clean and fuelled at all times

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' relevant experience.
∎ Valid driving license with experience of driving in international organization
∎ Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and automobile maintenance experience (oil checks, changing tyres, etc.)
∎ Good knowledge of the assignment area at Cox's Bazar region
∎ Experts in driving 4/4 vehicles and VHF use
∎ Good command of spoken English
∎ Personal qualities for the position:
∎ Excellent capacity to work independently and/or with minimal supervision, respecting the established framework;
∎ Capacity to define priorities, Administrative and organizational skills (coordination, sharing information, etc.).
∎ Capacity of adaptation, to work in team in a multicultural environment;
∎ Team spirit and capacity to integrate a multidisciplinary approach;
∎ Sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
