Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure optimal stock levels of animal health products to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.
∎ Conduct regular inventory audits and implement systems to track expiry dates of products.
∎ Order Fulfillment:Oversee the timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
∎ Manage logistics for efficient transportation of products, ensuring compliance with temperature-sensitive handling (e.g., cold chain logistics).
∎ Regulatory Compliance:Ensure adherence to veterinary and pharmaceutical distribution regulations, including documentation and labeling requirements.
∎ Monitor and maintain compliance with import/export regulations and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
∎ Supplier Coordination:Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to manage procurement schedules and resolve supply chain issues.
∎ Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
∎ Customer Support:Work closely with sales teams and veterinarians to address client inquiries regarding product availability and delivery timelines.
∎ Manage product returns and recalls effectively, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.Strategic Roles:
∎ Supply Chain Optimization:Design and implement strategies to streamline the distribution network for cost efficiency and improved service levels.Utilize data analytics to predict demand and plan supply chain operations accordingly.
∎ Quality Assurance:Develop and maintain procedures to ensure the safe storage and handling of animal health medicines, particularly sensitive products like vaccines and antibiotics.Conduct regular risk assessments to mitigate potential disruptions in the distribution process.
∎ Technology Integration:Leverage technology (e.g., warehouse management systems, GPS tracking) to enhance operational efficiency and visibility in the supply chain.Implement digital tools for tracking and reporting regulatory compliance metrics.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, regulatory affairs) to align distribution strategies with overall business goals.Foster relationships with distributors, retailers, and veterinary clinics to build a reliable distribution network.
∎ Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and promote environmentally responsible practices in packaging, transport, and inventory management. Explore sustainable transportation options to reduce the carbon footprint of distribution activities.
