Job Context:
∎ The Chief of Party (CoP) has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of all grant activities and staff. S/he has principal responsibility for representation for the projects to the donor and local Government entities. The CoP shall have a keen understanding of the unique political dynamics and work carefully and collaboratively to support the various entities in Bangladesh.
∎ The Chief of Party coordinates the implementation of all aspects of the program to ensure program quality and timely reporting to donors.
∎ S/he also provides strategic leadership and supervision of sub-grantees and sub-contractors while ensuring the security, feasibility, and sustainability of the program and contribution to Child wellbeing outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for all grants related decisions within established donor guidelines and WV policies.
∎ Responsible for grant budget.
∎ Responsible to direct and oversee grant implementation.
∎ Direct and oversee grant implementation, ensuring that all strategic objectives are met through proper design, staffing, implementation and quality assurance.
∎ Supervise a team of senior level international and national staff with skills across a diverse set of technical areas.
∎ Ensure proper technical capacity of staff to manage complex government funded projects.
∎ Work closely with consortium members to ensure they deliver timely on responsibilities and their work is monitored regularly.
∎ Establish and maintain effective project reporting, evaluation, and communication systems. Submit timely accurate and professional reports that meet donor requirements
∎ Manage grant/project budget within approved spending levels and ensure accurate and timely financial reports to donors and SO IPG staff.
∎ Lead grant staff and short-term consultants.
∎ Ensure grant/project expenses are reasonable, allocated as per assigned budget, prudent and spent in accordance with donor rules and regulations to ensure low risk audits.
∎ Liaise with government of Bangladesh officials (central and local), local communities, donor representatives and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Five (5)+ years (depending on donor requirements) of extensive international development experience managing large grants’ requirements
∎ Proven ability to manage technical assistance teams
∎ Knowledge of and familiarity with USAID international assistance program requirements, preferably Food for Peace (FFP) and/or other bilateral funding agencies
∎ Keen understanding of the unique political dynamics of the country and ability to work carefully and collaboratively to support the various political entities in Bangladesh
∎ Proven ability in the management of large integrated programs in developing countries
∎ Familiarity with USAID programs, their history and their development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs
∎ Familiarity working in Bangladesh context preferred
∎ Ability to integrate teams of professionals around common goals
∎ Demonstrated accomplishment in working with host-country professionals, ministries and with donor colleagues in country
∎ Strong presentation skills
∎ Fluency in English
∎ Experience of leading large and diverse teams
∎ Experience in managing food security grants
∎ Experience in leading and managing large grants in a complex environment.
∎ Previous experience as CoP or DCoP required; CoP experience is a plus
∎ Experience managing sub grants and contracts under grants for complex projects
∎ Experience in managing inter-agency consortiums is preferred
∎ Previous experience with Development Food Assistance Programs (DFAP)s, Multi Year
∎ Assistance Programs (MYAP)s, and/or Development Assistance Programs (DAP)s is preferred
∎ Speaking Bangla is a plus
